Cookie Policy

Last updated: 2026-04-23

This page details the cookies and similar technologies used on mabellenote.fr. It complements our Privacy Policy and Security Policy. You can review or change your choices at any time via the "Change my preferences" button at the bottom of this page.

01What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device (computer, phone, tablet) by the websites you visit. Cookies are used to remember your preferences, secure your session, or measure site traffic. We include similar technologies under this term: pixels, tags, and browser local storage.

In France, Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act (which implements the ePrivacy Directive) requires that we obtain your consent before storing cookies that are not strictly necessary to run the service.

02Our stance: no ad cookies by default

We do not drop any third-party advertising cookie when you land on the site. No Meta, TikTok, or LinkedIn pixel is loaded without your consent. No cookie is shared with ad networks.

We only store the strict minimum needed for the site to work; everything else is up to you. Rejecting all cookies keeps the site fully functional.

03Cookie categories we use

We group cookies into three categories. Only the first one cannot be disabled.

Strictly necessary cookies
Required for the site to work: stores your consent choice (`mbn_consent`), language preference, and anti-bot protection on public forms (Cloudflare Turnstile). These cookies don't require your consent — without them, some pages simply can't work.
Audience measurement
Aggregated, anonymized analytics that help us understand how pages are used (page views, journeys, device). No data is ever sold or used for advertising profiling. These cookies are only set after you give your consent.
Marketing
We currently use no marketing cookie. This category is kept in the consent module to prepare future integrations (remarketing, social pixels). Nothing is loaded unless you activate it.

04Detailed list of cookies

NameCategoryPurposeLifetime
mbn_consentNecessaryStores your choices in the consent module.13 months
cf_clearance, __cf_bmNecessaryCloudflare Turnstile cookies set when submitting a public form, used to tell humans from bots.30 minutes to 30 days
NEXT_LOCALENecessaryStores your language preference (French / English).1 year
_ga, _ga_*Audience measurementGoogle Analytics 4 — anonymized traffic measurement, governed by Consent Mode v2. Only set if you accept this category.13 months
ph_* (PostHog)Audience measurementPostHog product analytics — anonymized product metrics, hosted in the European Union. Only set if you accept this category.13 months
As of today, audience-measurement cookies are only active if the matching identifiers are configured server-side AND you have given your consent. Until both conditions are met, no request is sent to Google or PostHog.

05Change or withdraw your consent

You can revisit your choices at any time in three ways:

  • via the "Change my cookie preferences" button shown at the bottom of this page;
  • via the "Cookies" link in the footer of any page;
  • by deleting the `mbn_consent` cookie from your browser settings — the banner will show again on your next visit.

Withdrawing your consent is as easy as giving it and has no impact on your ability to browse the site.

06How long we keep your choice

In line with the French data protection authority (CNIL) guidelines, we store your choice for 13 months at most. After that, the banner will be shown again to collect an up-to-date consent.

07Managing cookies from your browser

Independently of our module, every browser lets you fine-tune the cookies stored on your device:

  • Google Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies and other site data.
  • Mozilla Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data.
  • Apple Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data.
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions.

Blocking all cookies can prevent some features of the site from working.

08Recipients and transfers outside the EU

Data collected through audience-measurement cookies is processed by SBCQ SAS and the subprocessors listed in the DPA. Google Analytics relies on servers located outside the European Union; such transfers are governed by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses along with additional technical safeguards (IP anonymization, Consent Mode v2). PostHog is hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt).

No data is ever sold to third parties.

09Your rights

You have the same rights over data collected via cookies as those described in our Privacy Policy: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability. To exercise them, write to [email protected].

If you run into any difficulty, you can lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL) — www.cnil.fr.

10Changes to this policy

This policy may evolve to reflect technical changes, new subprocessors, or new regulations. Any substantial change triggers a new consent request through the banner. The current version stays accessible at all times from the footer.
